Nintendo has finally dropped the prices of their last gen handhelds. The DSi will now cost $100 and the DSi XL $130. This now means that the DSi XL will not cost more than the 3DS which is how its supposed to be.

Sony cuts price on PS3's to $250
At a keynote at Gamescom 2011 Sony announced that they have dropped the price of the PS3 to 249 euros and dollars. That price is for the 160 GB model but the 320 GB model will also drop it's price down to 299.

Nintendo dropping 3DS price to $170 on August 12; Announces Nintendo 3DS Ambassador program for early adopters
The 3DS hasn't been in a good position so far. Since it's launch many games have been delayed and some even canceled. This along with the price of 250 dollars was a huge wall that kept consumers from enjoying Nintendo's latest handheld. Nintendo has since picked up the slack of 3rd party companies by lining up the rest of the year with big core games like Star Fox 64 3D, Super Mario 3D Land, Mario Kart 7 and Kid Icarus: Uprising.
To some consumers that may not be enough though, and Nintendo knows that. They have announced that starting August 12 they will drop the price of the 3DS to $170. This is a very aggressive move by Nintendo, one that we don't see very often. Is it pressure from the upcoming PS Vita or the continuous growth in popularity that mobile phones seem to have in the market. Either way Nintendo is going to do something they haven't done in a long time and that's take a loss on every single 3DS sold. Nintendo never sells at a loss whether it was the DS or the Wii. With the 3DS they're planning on making there money back on the games sold, something Microsoft and Sony know well.
What about those who did buy the system for 250. It hasn't been that long since the 3DS launched (around four months). What does Nintendo say to you, well they say have some free games. Nintendo want's to thank their early adopters by doing a 3DS Ambassador program giving them free eShop games, 20 to be exact. To get in, all you have to do is "connect to the Nintendo eShop at least once before 11:59 p.m. Eastern time on Aug. 11. These users will automatically be registered in the Nintendo 3DS Ambassador program."
So what exactly are you going to receive? The games include NES titles like Super Mario Bros., Donkey Kong Jr., Balloon Fight, Ice Climber and The Legend of Zelda. As well as GBA titles like Yoshi’s Island: Super Mario Advance 3, Mario Kart: Super Circuit, Metroid Fusion, WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$ and Mario vs. Donkey Kong.
DS light price will drop to $99 on June 6
Nintendo has announced that starting June 6th the Nintendo DS light will drop to $99. Nintendo also mentioned that they will re-release six mario games in fancy new red boxes. The games are New Super Mario Bros, Mario Kart DS, Super Mario 64 DS, Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story, Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem!, and Mario Party DS.

Wii Bundle Drops To 150 On May 15, Nintendo Selects Finally Arrive
As of May 15 the Wii will now be sold at a suggested retail price of $149.99. It will come bundled with Mario Kart Wii and the Wii Wheel accessory. This package will not include the Wii Sports games but hey, it's hard to complain when you're getting Mario Kart.

Wii price drops to $199 in US
Some stores leaked the info a little early but now Nintendo officially announces that the Wii will now be 199 USD. A price drop for Nintendo's console seemed necessary since Microsoft and Sony both reduced the price of their systems to 299.
