Sony to become more strict on PSN game sharing

You know the drill you and four other friends share an account so that you can share each others PSN purchases. Well no more says Sony beginning Nov. 18 PSN licenses can be tied to only two PS3s or two PSPs (purchases before that date will not count).

You will, however, be able to activate and deactivate consoles online.

Grand Theft Auto V is real, new trailer coming soon

Rockstar have finally acknowledged the fact that GTA 5 does exist. They didn't release any info besides the logo found above and that they will release a trailer on November 2 (yes Rockstar just gave a release date for a trailer of a game). In case you hadn't noticed Nov. 2 is next week so we don't have to wait too long for it now.

Sony to release a budget PSP in Europe for €99

Sony is getting ready to release the new "E1000" model of the PSP in Europe later this fall. What makes this PSP different from the others? Well besides the matte finish that's found in the new slim PS3's, this PSP has no WiFi. That means the only way to connect to the PSN store is through a PC or a PS3.

No word yet on if this PSP will reach outside Europe.

Internet Problems

I apologize for the recent lack of posts but I had some internet problems I had to get resolved. Mainly the fact that I had NO internet. It all seems to be resolved now and I'm trying to get the site back up to speed. Thanks for waiting!

PlayStation Network's 'Welcome Back' program now available

The PSN "Welcome Back" program is now in full effect. You can now go into the store and receive your free items. Because everyone in the world is trying to access the PlayStation Store right now there will be some error messages or issues but Sony advises you try again later when there is not as high traffic.

Sony is also giving some help if something goes wrong while choosing your game. "If at any point you can’t find the ‘Welcome Back Free Game 1 or 2’ products, the list of available titles or a game you’ve selected, go to your"

Playstation Store back online

Sony had already restored some PSN features like online multilplayer but the PlayStation Store was a no show, that is until now. The PS Store is now back up and running but I have had a couple of error codes that I'm sure will be ironed out as time goes on.

The Welcome Back program is in it's final stages of testing so we should be enjoying our free games and PlayStation Plus soon.

RUMOR: PSP2 actually named Vita

Rumors that Sony's next handheld (currently named NGP) would be named Vita started spreading when the image above started circulating the internet. Things got a little more interesting when it was revealed that going to vita.scedev.net with your browser actually takes you to Sony's developer portal.

There is also some suggestions that Vita is just a codename and not the final one. Either way more info is sure to be leaked out considering Sony's track record with leaks.

What is Call Of Duty Elite?

The leaked video above explains what exactly is Call Of Duty Elite. There have been rumors about a paid subscription to Call of Duty games for years. Well we can finally put that to rest because playing your Call of Duty games online is still free.

The optional subscription you'll be paying for is actually for Call Of Duty Elite which includes all the extras found in the video as well as that years map packs. Not all portions of Elite will cost money though, some features like the Facebook-inspired Groups will be free to all. Activision hasn't put a price on the subscription yet but we expect more news as we creep closer to E3.

Update: Old video was taken down by activision, now replaced by a new one.
