Nintendo Confirmers Wii Successor, To Be Released After March 2012

Nintendo has confirmed that they do in fact have the Wii's successor and are planning to show it off and have it playable at E3. They also disproved any idea that the system will come out in 2011 because it wasn't in their sales projections, which goes up to March 31, 2012.

Nintendo president Satoru Iwata told Bloomberg News, "We would like to propose a new approach to home video game consoles. It's difficult to make 3-D images a key feature, because 3-D televisions haven't obtained wide acceptance yet."

So the Wii's successor wont have 3D as it's main focus which makes sense as not that many people want to go out and buy a brand new 3D TV. It doesn't rule out the possibility of it having 3D, just that it wont be a "key feature."
